Our Curriculum

Our curriculum adheres to state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. We personalize instruction to meet student needs and integrate technology, art, music, and physical education into our weekly curriculum plans.

Additional Programs

In addition to our regular classroom instruction, Pope Valley Elementary offers qualified students:

  • Gifted and talented programming
  • English language instruction

Reading Counts

Reading Counts! is our adopted reading program that combines self-guided reading with comprehension checks. In this program, students choose books that marry their interests with their reading ability. As their skills grow, students find new books that meet their learning needs.
